ANONYMISED CASE

Recent Graduate Obtains a Category C Work Permit

NationalityAnonymisedIndustryEmployer in a development zone (anonymised)

Situation

A recent foreign graduate planned to start work in China but did not yet have the full period of relevant experience commonly expected under a standard route.

Problem

The route had to be assessed against the university, major, proposed position and employer, including whether a development-zone or administrative-committee certificate could support a graduate pathway.

Solution

We prepared two possible application plans based on the candidate and company profile and explained the conditions and documents for each. The parties selected the recent-graduate Category C route, after which we assisted with the administrative committee’s work certificate and the subsequent filing.

Timeline

Eligibility review → comparison of two routes → Category C graduate route selected → administrative committee certificate → work permit and visa

Result

The candidate obtained the work permit and visa and proceeded with the planned onboarding in China.

Important notes

Graduate routes depend on the university, major, employer, filing location and current policy. They are not automatically available to every recent graduate.
